Yes, Mr Ong is hungry for glory. The school has finally achieve band 1 with a MSG of 10.9pts, but still Mr Ong wants more by putting a target of 9pts on us, a wrong move I would say. He should have gone with something more realistic, maybe like a 10.8pts.

Recently I have been doing some thinking, and I actually concluded that it is important for me to score a distinction(A2?) in Chinese. The big question is "How?"

My childhood

I grew up watching Pokemon

And Digimon.

And many other shows that you would probably find lame now, haha!

What I find lacking in my childhood is actually

Kite flying.

So I hope I can take this holiday as an opportunity to do some kite flying, and I may need someone to teach me that. So, kite flying HERE I COME!!!

Recent movies that i watched

Ah yes, finally the first post in october. After the End-of-Year exams, i went to watch two movies to de-stress, but unfortunately i burned quite a hole in my pocket (i'm a budget guy)

This is one good comedy. Hilarious!

This is interesting and captivating, makes you want to know what's going to happen next. A little bit scary and spooky but no horror. I watched the 3D version of this movie and this was my first experience with 3D movies. I have to say it gave the movie depth and realism, technology now is simply so awesome! The 3D glasses was kind of uncomfortable though, since I have to wear it over my spectacles.

Now time for me to pray hard for the exam results....

Randomly, i typed "Ong Kian Choon" on google search and it gave me this:

The long-awaited movie, Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince, is finally here. This is one of the movies I anticipate the most. To be honest, I never actually read this book, because I'm a slow reader. But i took a quick glance of the book before, think it's the first few chapters, and the part about Dumbledore's death.

I'm planning to watch this movie this coming Saturday. Anybody wants to come with me?

Apparently, based on some SMS I got, Class 3D's oral exam has been postponed because the teacher is not coming. It will be held when school reopens.

With the H1N1 cases rising in Singapore, there's a chance that the June school holidays will be extended.

Something not to look forward to:

If the June holidays are really extended, then we might not have our September holidays, or our November/December holidays will be shortened by 1-2 weeks, depending on how long our June holidays are extended. And we will have to do e-Learning and homework at home during this period.

EDIT: It's been confirmed, no extended holidays ,school is going to resume as usual. DAMN IT!!!!

Journalism Workshop Day One

I went for this journalism workshop at Nanyang JC today, and what a shock, Alvin didn't turn up. He was so enthusiastic about this when he volunteered to go, he even sabo-ed me to go. I have a feeling that he is trying to avoid someone........

The workshop today bascially taught us about the way jounalism works. It was conducted by the journalism CCA. The boring part is where they gave us project work to do(who cares?). The interesting part is when we were criticising our school(school rules, principal, teachers). There were some ex-NCHS students conducting the workshop and they had a lot of things to say about our school as well. Day Two next saturday.

we actually made it through the 2 tough week of exams, give yourselves a clap or two. overall, the exam wasn't easy, espacially maths. the teacher who set the maths paper was RUTHLESS, she was out to KILL. i can't say i died from that paper, but i can't say i survived it as well. half-dead you can say.

Cross country

after making through the cross country alive, my legs felt as if they are shattering. sengkang riverside park has got some good sceneries! the air is fresh too! the uphills and downhills made the whole cross country quite a challenge. and people like me are lucky to survive this. me, adrian, alvin and chong yuh went to the IT Show after school. it was very crowded, even though it's on a weekday. saw some good deals. adrian was saying that he should have bought his 8GB thumbdrive at the fair instead of at school(remember some people came to school to sell thumbdrives and adobe CS4?)

we had a theory lesson on web design today in infocomm club. do’s and don’ts when designing a website. check out this website- http://www.stevenlim.net it’s simply ridiculous and hilarious. it has got to be one of the worst website ever, look at the crazy and messy layout. it’s like oh my GOD!!! the content is simply ridiculous as well. can’t stop laughing when the instructor told us about it.

Breaking news- friendly basketball match

A friendly basketball was held in nchs today.

Anderson Sec vs Nan Chiau High
'B' boys division-we lost(estimated nchs 30:70 anderson sec)
'C' boys division-we won(estimated nchs 50:30 anderson sec)

i admit that the we lost badly in the ‘B’ division match.i guess that we had a disadvantage, and that was height. anderson boys were all big,tall and fierce--all of them about 180cm standard. most of our nchs boys were not that tall.keep losing the ball or kenna blocked. i heard they did some tyco shots. so train hard boys! hopefully they will do better in their next match.

the new msn messenger version 2009 is out!!! i was quite amaze when i finished installing it. the interface is simply awesome man! very sleek i would say. or now i’m trying to get use to the new interface, exploring what new function does it have.did i mention the you can change the skin(they call it scene) of the messenger? i’m also trying out the windows live writer. you can simply write a blog post with it. this blog post is written by windows live writer. from the looks of this brand new app, it seems more powerful than the usual blogger web tool. there a lot of option for you to choose from. so off i go to explore more of the new msn messenger’s function.

the story goes that melvin clumsily left his npcc booklet in the school canteen
he sent me an sms to call for help
and super-khongyew came to his rescue
under the heavy rain
i went back to school from the nearby bus stop
when i was near the canteen
i was stopped by 2 gay-thugs
but with my scarecrow-kungfu......
i kicked, i smashed, i thrashed, i slamed them
the 2 gay-thugs were down soon not long after quicky
then i ran through the flames
saved his npcc booklet
and saved the day
i used my scroll-to-the-nearest-town and teleported to compass

a few days ago my computer got infected by god-knows-what malware

i decided to reformat my com and reinstalled windows
and it's now running fresh and fast!

right now i'm deciding what security software(s) is to run on my com
i got AVG Free antivirus 7.5

the 4 NPCC dudes were polishing their boots like crazy!
junjie had the shiniest boots(you could see your face in it)
Lyman was being lazy and ask them to help
in the end victor ended up helping him to polish the boots
yiping scratch his boots
Lyman found out and he was pissed
it does not aways pays to be kind

AMCL today had test all malay and dunno how to do

CCA today: it was our first lesson of flash and we only learn how to draw in it there was a a lot of cool tool and i was drawing circles and squares and other shapes........

it was after school(and also after detention) and a few of us stayed back for no reason (maybe do maths homework). they were all fooling around and started lining up chairs in a straight row and have to like jump, over it. it waz pretty long about 5 chairs line up.that waz like impossible for me to jump over it but some can.danny ran and jump over it!his good in sports! soon they were like putting chairs in different arrangement.... jumping over it......
